Activists of patriotic movements, students, cadets, and residents of the city will gather there on June 22.
(KZN.RU, June 20). The Day of Memory and Sorrow, timed to the 77th anniversary of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, will take place on June 22 in the Pobedy Park.
77 years ago the most bloody and cruel war in the history of mankind took place. It took millions of lives, broke millions of destinies, orphaned millions of children. June 22, 1941 is one of the sad dates in our history. On this day, fascist Germany committed a treacherous attack on the Soviet Union. The Great Patriotic War began, which lasted 1418 days and nights, full of despair and courage, hope, hard work, heroism, irrecoverable losses, and inexhaustible faith that the enemy will be defeated.
This day was called Day of Memory and Sorrow paying tribute to the memory of the soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War, as well as to the victims of all wars for the freedom and independence of our Motherland.
Representatives of the ministries and departments of Tatarstan and Kazan, activists of patriotic movements, students, schoolchildren, and cadets, as well as residents of the city will take part in the event timed to the sad date this year. The event will begin at 10 am, reports the Committee for Children and Youth Affairs.
