The winter tourist season in Kazan will be enriched by the new festival “KyshDaKar-Fest”.
(KZN.RU, February 2, Ekaterina Vislavskaya). The festival “Delicious Kazan” in 2018 will be timed to the World Cup, and its main feature will be a huge tablecloth with the symbols of different countries. Daria Sannikova, the head of the Committee of Tourism Promotion of the Executive Committee, presented original hospitality projects including the Hot Winter Festival “KyshDaKar Fest” to Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, during the traditional report of the Executive Committee units.
“People from other regions of Russia come to participate in the “Delicious Kazan”, said D. Sannikova. “We are planning to hold another festival in the days of the World Cup and we consider the site of the Gorky Park”.
The highlight of the festival this year will be a large tablecloth of hospitality with the symbols of the countries participating in the FIFA World Cup-2018. The design is being developed now. Matches in Kazan will be held on June 16, 20, 25, 27, 30 and July 6.
The gastronomic festival is held from 2015. Last year the festival was held in August on the territory of the Family Center “Kazan”. 45 thousand people visited it in 3 days, more than 12 tons of food was eaten, including 2.5 thousand kysty-burgers. The program included master classes from cafes and restaurants, an entertainment program, awarding the winners of the contests “Most Delicious Restaurant of Kazan” and “Most Delicious Cafe of Kazan”.
The novelty of the upcoming tourist season will be the Hot Winter Festival “KyshDaKar-Fest” on Bauman Street. For 5-7 days in winter 2018-2019, Kazan citizens will be able to participate in master classes in cooking national dishes and making Christmas gifts, buy gifts and handmade souvenirs in the very heart of the city. The place was chosen for a reason. According to the results of the past New Year holidays, the Bauman Street is the leader among the Kazan attractions.
“The summer season in Kazan is busy for events attractive for tourists, but there is a shortage of them in winter. I am sure that “KyshDaKar-Fest” will add warmth and vivid impressions not only for tourists but also for the residents of the city”, said D. Sannikova.
