In 2023, Kazan will host the UEFA Super Cup. This decision was made by the UEFA Executive Committee during a working meeting in Amsterdam (Netherlands). The match will take place at the Ak Bars Arena (Kazan arena).
Kazan officially bid to stage the UEFA Super Cup in 2022 or 2023 at the end of October 2019. The bid was supported by the Federal government and Russian Football Union. Helsinki, Minsk, Belfast and Tirana also participated in the bidding campaign.
Before the vote, the Albanian Football Federation withdrew Tirana's bid to host the UEFA Super Cup in 2022 and 2023, according to the UEFA official website.
The UEFA Executive Committee also decided to hold the 2022 UEFA Super Cup in Helsinki.
