Ilsur Metshin announces the launch of the 2026 overhaul program – work has begun in the first six houses

<p> A renovation program for apartment buildings for 2026 launches in Kazan. The construction workers have already started work in the first six houses. As many as 163 residential houses will be repaired under the program, said Ilsur Metshin, Mayor of Kazan. </p> <p> «We have started renovation of apartment buildings. This is an unprecedented early deadline: the construction workers have started work at the first facilities. As many as 163 houses are planned to be renovated in 2026. Step by step, we are making the city not only more beautiful but also more convenient», – said the Mayor of the city Ilsur Metshin. </p> <p> One of the first houses to undergo major repairs was a five-storey apartment building at 28/70 Tovarishcheskaya Street in the Vakhitovsky city district. Roof replacement is carried out at the facility. The house with nine entrances was built in 1969. </p> <p> Renovation is underway in five more houses in Kazan. On Lomzhinskaya St., 1, 2, 3, Gvardeyskaya St., 35a and Bondarenko Street 35, engineering networks will be replaced. </p> <p> For reference, the renovation works began much earlier than usual. The advanced schedule was made possible by holding the auction in advance. An early start allows to distribute the load on contractors and to complete the main work in a time convenient for residents. </p> <p>   </p>
