More than 100 children with disabilities attended the New Year's event at the City Hall

The artists of the Kazan chamber theater, Smena, presented a New Year’s show to special children

A New Year's event took place at the Kazan City Hall. This year, for the first time, the fabulous event was held in a charity format. More than 100 children had the opportunity to visit the show.

The wards of the Good Kazan and the Alpari Charitable Foundation aged from 6 to 16 were invited to the event. More than 100 children with different disabilities attended the masquerade ball. Among them were children who visited the festive event for the first time.

«I would like to thank you the organizers and staff of the City Hall. They approached this event with special attention and helped us to accommodate all children», – said Tatyana Merzlyakova, director of the Good Kazan.

For the honored guests of the event, the Kazan Chamber Theater, Smena, presented a colorful and funny play «The Overslept Beauty». The New Year's story, based on the works of Charles Perrault, Alexander Pushkin, Vasily Zhukovsky and the Brothers Grimm, greatly impressed the young guests.

Actors in ball gowns and bright costumes waltzed around, dancers recreated a swan lake on the parquet floor of the town hall, and magicians surprised the guests with their tricks.

The works of the great composer Pyotr Tchaikovsky created the New Year’s mood.

At the end of the evening, Father Frost and the Snow Maiden took the stage. Fairy-tale characters completed the New Year's ball with pleasant gifts.
