2. Double decker “City Sightseeing” Tour

Kazan appeared to be the 101st city in the world being serviced by the international company City Sightseeing Worldwide. Its double decker buses are equipped with a special folding roof opened in warm season. A 55 passenger bus with is a retractable ramp for disabled people operates in an hour loop covering the historical part of the city: Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda district, the Kremlin of Kazan, the Kazanka river embankment, Ploschad Svobody, Baumana Street and other.

The bus makes 10 stops on its route and you are able to join the tour on any of them. You can also get off at any of 10 stops to be acquainted with the place of your interest in more detail and, having saved the ticket, take the next double-decker. The ticket is valid 24 hours after the first boarding and the interval of bus traffic makes about 30 minutes. The audio guide speaks eight languages.

The first bus in the summer season starts at 10:30 and the last one finishes moving along the route at 19:50.
The first bus in the winter season starts at 10:30 and the last one finishes moving at 17:20.

Tickets can be purchased at city hotels, tourist centers and in the bus itself when boarding.
The ticket price: adults -500 rubles, children and pensioners - 400 rubles. Children under 5 years old, veterans of the Second World War, disabled people of I and II category can use the services free of charge. Double-deckers start fr om Tukay Square.

3. Night Kazan.

The tour implies a drive through the most brightly and beautifully illuminated streets of the city as well as the modern Millennium Bridge and the Lenin dam.

4. Boating on Kaban lake and the Kazanka river.

A beautiful and mysterious lake Kaban lies in the centre of Kazan. The lake is areally the largest in Tatarstan and is geographically divided into three parts: The Lower, Middle and Upper Kaban. The local dwellers and the guests of the capital enjoy feeding ducks floating in the lake and the view of the large fountain ejecting the violent streams of water up to 50 meters high. Boating strolls are held daily from 10.00 to 21.00 starting from the lake wharf. Cancellations are possible due to meteorological reasons (storm, heavy rain, etc.). The date of navigation opening will be announced.
