The screening and discussion of the stage play “The Plough” by Chingiz Aitmatov’s novel will be held on January 26.
(KZN.RU, January 9). The school of the theatrical spectator “Kamal Mektebe”, a new educational project, will open on January 26 at 6 pm in the small hall of the Tatar State Academic Theater named after G. Kamal.
The project will present the legendary Tatar performances in the format of lectures, public debates, master classes, talk shows with spectators and experts. The goal of the project is to draw the viewer into the world of theatrical art by the art of the stage, giving him new knowledge.
The school of theatrical spectator will be opened by the screening and discussing the play “The Plough” (1987) based on Chingiz Aitmatov’s novel and directed by Damir Sirazeev. This is one of the first scenic versions of the novel in the world staged by Mansur Gilyazov. Director Damir Sirazeev is still a symbol of the experimental Tatar theater. In 1987 during the era of Perestroika, the play was a challenge not only to the Soviet system but also to the established tradition and the spectator habits. It is no coincidence that critics compared it with the April plenum of the CPSU. D. Sirazeev turns the play into a battle of evil and good, focusing on two lines of the novel: the opposition of wolves and shooters, as well as shepherds and nomenclature.
The screening and discussion of “The Old Man from Aldermysh” (1976) will be held on February 9 at 6 pm as part of the project. The author is Tufan Minnullin, the director is Marcel Salimzhanov. And “Mute Cuckoo” (2004) will be on February 23 at 5 pm. The author is Zulfat Khakim, director Farid Bikchantaev, the reports press service of the theater.
