The Mayor of Kazan summed up the results of 2025 at the annual meeting with journalists

On the eve of the New Year, the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin traditionally met with the federal, republican and city media. The Mayor summed up the results of the work in 2025 in Kazan. The annual press conference took place at the Kazan City Hall.

During a meeting with journalists, Ilsur Metshin noted that 2025 was a prosperous and productive year. The Mayor identified the stability of the municipal economy as one of the key indicators for the city. In 2025, Kazan implemented of all major programs aimed at creating a comfortable environment for residents, and housing construction was also actively pursued.

«We have a dream that any country, region, or city has – to build one square meter per person. We have built more than 1,300,000 square meters of housing. These are macroeconomic indicators, litmus tests that speak about the state of the city and its economy», – Ilsur Metshin said. He added that Tatarstan and Kazan are also completing the year successfully in terms of such indicators as investments in fixed assets, production volume, and average wages.
