New hospitals in Kazan will be able to provide services for 46,000 residents
Two medical facilities were officially opened in Kazan today – a branch of the polyclinic-20 in the Vesna residential complex and a branch of the children's polyclinic-11 11 in the Volzhskie Prostory residential complex. The medical facilities were built under the Long and Active Life national project. The Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Almir Abashev, Minister of Health of Tatarstan, Ilsur Metshin, Mayor of Kazan, and Airat Farrakhov, Deputy of the Russian State Duma attended the event.
«Healthcare issues have been and remain a priority for us. This is the quality of life of our citizens”. Rustam Minnikhanov noted that 53 health care facilities have been built and 151 were renovated repaired in the republic. “This year, as many as 282 facilities worth 6.3 billion rubles were built and repaired under the federal and republican projects», – said Rustam Minnikhanov.
The polyclinic in the Vesna residential complex will be able to serve 36,000 people. It is designed for 400 visitors per shift. The new five-storey building with an area of 7,100 square meters is designed taking into account modern requirements for comfort and accessibility for different categories of patients.
The second facility, a children's polyclinic located in the Volzhskie Prostory residential complex, was officially opened via a video conference mode. The medical facility was built under the Long and Active Life national project.
This new branch of polyclinic -11 has been designed to serve 10,000 children or up to 200 patients per shift. The facility with an area of 3,400 square meters was built in a short amount of time: construction began in January this year and ended in August.
A special ceremony took place in the Vesna residential complex, during which ambulances were handed over to the facility.
