Young dancers from Kazan won the first place in the international competition in Sochi

About 30 best choreographic collectives of the world reached the final of the competition.

(KZN.RU, October 23). Pupils of the Kazan Choreographic Collective “Road from the City” won the first place in the fifth closed grant international dance competition “Winners’ Cup”, which ended on October 22 in Sochi.

During the year, the jury assessed more than 750 creative collectives. About 30 of them were selected to participate in the final stage in Sochi. From 19 to 22 of October, finalists in different age categories presented their creative numbers.

The Kazan team “Road from the City” performed a dance in the nomination “Modern Choreography”. The team included boys and girls aged 10 to 14 years. They returned with a victory in Kazan, winning first place in their age category.

This is not the first victory of the dance collective. In the 23 years of its existence, students of the school became winners of international and Russian competitions, winners of various awards. Now 280 children are engaged in 14 different age groups in the “Road from the City”. Mostly they dance modern choreography with elements of movements of the Tatar national dances. Classes are held in the Kazan Youth Center named after A. Gaidar.
