Kazan is known as the sports center of Russia. The city has hosted premier international competitions, such as 2013 Universiade, FIFA World Cup and World Championships. The All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Complex “Ready for Labor and Defense” is being successfully implemented in Kazan. The project aims at promoting an active lifestyle among children, youth and adults.
