About Kazan

The strategy of social and economic development of Kazan until 2030 was adopted on December 14, 2016 at the XII session of the Kazan City Duma. In 2021, the document was amended. This is due to the fact that over the years of its implementation, some of the actual values of the city's development indicators have already outstripped the planned values, as well as changes at the federal level.

The implementation of the strategy provides for work in three key areas: the formation of a better human capital, the creation of a comfortable space for its development and the conditions under which it will be in demand by the economy.

In accordance with the strategy, “Kazan-2030 is a vibrant city of sustainable economic growth and vast opportunities, the leader of the Volga–Kama growth pole. Kazan is a territory of health, a comfortable city for active and responsible citizens, an open government and a safe urban environment. A city where you want to come and where it's interesting to live every day.” The strategy of Kazan was developed taking into account the Strategy of the republic of Tatarstan until 2030, which was adopted in June 2015.
